13 Days 12 Nights


Day 1
12 Nov: Arrive into Cairo - Welcome Dinner

Let’s all arrive in Cairo by the afternoon. We will meet at the airport by our tour managers and be transferred to our hotel for our Welcome Dinner at 7pm and good nights rest.

Day 2
Nov 13: Museums, Citadel

After breakfast we will dip into Egyptian history, visiting the Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child king Tutankhamen, alongside many other fascinating artifacts. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Cairo, then moving to visit Saladin Citadel including Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside.

 

In the evening we have arranged for a private visit to the Queens chamber.

Day 3
14 Nov: Ramesseum Temple, Valley of the Nobles

 

After breakfast we will transfer to Cairo airport, to board our flight to Luxor. When we get there, we will visit the Ramesseum Temple. After that we will explore the mortuary temple that was built by Pharaoh Ramesses II, from the king’s massive, 62-foot (19mt) memorial statue to a series of intricate reliefs depicting battles and festival scenes.

Continue to the Temple of Medinat Habu for the second stop of the day: visit a royal palace, temples, and a series of wall carvings that depict memorial scenes and Ramesses III’s defeat of the Sea Peoples. After visiting the Temple of Medinat Habu, we will travel to the Valley of the Nobles, a sprawling collection of tombs that’s far less visited than the Valley of the Kings. Take in scenes of the owners’ daily lives, as well as depictions of the afterlife.

 

In the evening we will check in to the hotel in Luxor.

Day 4
15 Nov: Dendera. Abydos Temple of Seti–Hathor & Osiris

Breakfast at the hotel then move to visit Hathor Temple at Dendara in Dendara city, north of Luxor. This temple was one of the temples built first by the Potlemies, Ptolemy XII and Cleopatra II, then subsequently the Romans continued the decoration. It was built in order to show their dedication to the Egyptian Gods and Goddess, especially Goddess Hathor, the Goddess of Joy, Music, and Love.

 

Later we will enjoy a drive through the countryside passing Nag Hammadi to visit Abydos, The Temple of Osiris and to see the “Flower of Life”, Abydos is the pilgrimage place for Egypt’s visitors. No trip is complete without visiting Abydos and the mysterious and very ancient Osireion, which includes a more recent temple built by Seti I that contains the most beautiful bas reliefs of any temple in Egypt.

We then return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 5
16 Nov: Embark on your Nile cruise - East Bank temples

 

We will check out of the hotel after breakfast then board our cruise ship to continue along the Nile. After lunch, we will step out to explore the Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple.

 

Karnak Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Karnak recalls us to the powerful acts of creation, of beginning anew, and of building on the divine plan. It has been home for more than 3,500 years to the living statue of the lioness goddess, Sekhmet, who will instigate our mystery school rites of passage and also with Ptah and Nefertum, forming the Holy Trinity. We will also visit the Holy of Holies of Karnak and Amun-Ra + Mut Temple.

 

We will return to the cruise ship for dinner and enjoy the rest of our evening.

Day 6
17 Nov: West Bank -Valley of the Kings, 3 Tombs - Memnon Statues

After breakfast onboard the cruise, , we visit the Necropolis of Thebes on the West Bank of the Nile.

The Valley of Kings holds the tombs of the pharaohs that are inscribed with sacred transformative texts, including the books of knowing light and dark, the book of what is in the underworld, the book of caverns, and naming and taming the hours of the night. Here are the tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses III and VII,Seti I, Thutmosis III, and many others.

 

We will also explore the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, then to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut in the 15th century BC. From there we will move on to the Colossi of Memnon. We will board the ship for lunch, and sail onward to Edfu.

 

Dinner will be served on board the ship.

Day 7

18 Nov: Temples on the Nile – Edfu & Kom Ombo

 

In the morning, we will visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the most beautifully preserved Temples in Egypt. Here, we follow the story of the hero’s quest as we learn how Horus and his followers conquered chaos, and we see the sacred marriage of the king and queen as the embodiment of Horus and the goddess Hathor. The side chambers of the temple show the complexity of the rites that include a healing chamber, a perfumery, and singers’ rooms. One chamber, called the House of Life, stored all the sacred texts used in seasonal and daily rituals. Then we enjoy another beautiful day on the Nile, towards the only dual temple in Egypt at Kom Ombo. This dramatic Temple poised between the edge of the River and the encroaching desert sand was dedicated to two Gods –Sobek, the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth, and Horus, the hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris.After that we board the cruse and continue onward to Aswan.

 

Dinner will be served on board the cruise.

Day 8

19 Nov: Aswan-High Dam & Obelisk

 

After breakfast, we step out and enjoy a day’s sightseeing in Aswan. We will start with the High Dam and the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk, proceeding to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. We will also visit the essential oil factory in Aswan

 

Dinner will be on board our cruise.

Day 9

20 Nov: Meet Queen Isis - Private Visit to the Temple

 

In the morning enjoy special private opening to Philae temple for private meditation at 5 a.m, to receive blessings from the Great Mother.

 

After that we check out of our cruise ship and head to the airport at Aswan to fly back to Cairo and check-into Le Meridian Pyramid.

Day 10

21 Nov: Coptic Cairo, Islamic Cairo

 

Breakfast at the hotel before we spend an easy going day exploring old Coptic areas in Cairo. We will visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra's Synagogue. We will break for lunch and continue on to the Islamic areas in Cairo, where we be free to roam Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar, ending the day early with a free time for shopping, and your own dinner.

Day 11

22 Nov-Abu Ghurab -Saqqara

 

After breakfast we set off to the village of Abu Ghurab to explore the Sun Temple of Raa, then proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and first pyramid ever built (Djoser Pyramid). Later that day we move on to Memphis; the old kingdom's capital and famous Necropolis.

 

We will enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.

Day 12

23 Nov: Sphinx Paws-Sphinx Paws, Giza, Private Meditation at Sunset in Kings Chamber

 

We start early this morning to view the sunrise between the sphinx’s paws, then onward to explore the Great Pyramids, one of seven wonders of the world. During sunset we will visit the Kings Chamber inside the Great Pyramid for a private visit.

 

Farewell Dinner at the hotel.

Day 13

24 Nov: Safe Return Home

 

After breakfast, we will head to Cairo International Airport for our departure back home.
